So I started my first weekly appointment at the doctor this week! Which means only 2 more appointments before the induction!!! HOLY COW, right? Oh yes the induction has been set for September 18th. I will go in on the 17th to prepare me for labor (if you want more details about this feel free to email me to ask about it). I can't wait! I think it will be nice to sleep at the hospital the night before. I was thinking I probably wouldn't sleep much the night before anyway, so maybe being there I will sleep some. I am hoping anyway. :)
This weekend was kind of crazy. I had a headache on Friday that wasn't going away with Tylenol so on Saturday afternoon we called the doctor and the on call doctor called us back and was really nice. He said to go ahead and go to Labor and Deliver at Mercy hospital so they can monitor me. (oh I forgot to mention that my blood pressure was higher than it has ever been, which wasn't surprising since I was stressed about not feeling good). So we figured we would go and be monitored for an hour or so and then go home. This was not the case. Since my headache never went away they kept me for 8 hours! The ran some tests (blood, urine and ultra sound) and everything was fine so after a very long day they gave me a morphine shot and sent me home. Well I threw up on the way home (not fun), thankfully I brought the barf bag from the hospital with me in the car. Once we got home the morphine set in and holy cow that was weird! I decided at that point I don't ever want to do drugs (Justin keeps saying "like that was an option?", but you know what I mean). So Sunday I woke up still with a headache, so we did not go to church. My Sunday School prayed for me though and I know that God heard them because about 11 a.m. I woke up feeling great! We even were able to get up and get ready and ate lunch at the park with our Sunday School! I have still felt a little sick today, but not bad. The worst is the nausea.
I am excited because I am having a baby shower this weekend! I will be able to see some friends that I haven't seen in a while!
