Surprise!!!

Today we surprised Nana at her work to show off Ian! Everyone thought he was so cute, and can you blame them? I mean really he is the most adorable little guy!

Visitors...

Here are some pictures of the family members that have been here to visit Ian! First we have Nana and Pawpaw...

Then there are the cousins Kylie and Kaitlynn...

Aunt Jennifer and cousin Jacob...

Uncle Jeremy...

Aunt Crystal...

Aunt Andrea...

And Uncle David...

We had lots of visitors at the hospital! It was so neat to be able to show off Ian. We really think he is the cutest little guy! Ian made his premeir at church yesterday! He did so good and slept the entire time (well except for eating once). Again it was fun to show him off! Here is a picture of us at church (yes we take our camera everywhere!).

Wal-Mart...

Wal-Mart never seemed so good!!! Yesterday my mom and I and Ian, of course, ventured out to Wal-Mart to pick up some baby things and I ended up feeling so good that I picked up some things off of our regular list of things to get! It was so nice to get out. Our main goal was to find some preemie clothes for Ian. He is so little that even the pants that we got him are a little big around the waist! But he sure is a cutie!

We are like the paparazzi at our house! Here are a few pictures of Ian. He had his first doctor appointment today and weighed in at 5 lbs 12 oz! He is still so little! We will go back in two months.

This picture is of his first outing, to the doctor's office. He did so good! He was asleep by the time we left the office and slept for about (well he is currently still sleeping and it is almost 5pm).

He's here!!!!!!!!!

Well after 9 months of pregnancy, 3 1/2 months of bed rest, 7 weeks of non-stress tests, 7 hours of labor and 45 minutes of surgery our little Ian Clark has arrived! He was born on Thursday September 18th, 2008 at 5:13pm. He weighed in at 5 pounds 14 ounces and was 19 inches long. He is so cute and we can't stop looking at him in awe! Thursday morning they started the induction at 7:00 and by 2:00 there had been no progression with the labor (expect labor pains!). So at two they stopped the medicine and at around 4:30 they began the surgery for the C-section. At that point Justin and I were more than ready to do a C-section. We know that God was in with us the whole time because everything went great! Ian is a healthy boy and me and daddy are doing great! Here are some pictures of our little one and our new family!

Here is Daddy and Ian! And then below is Mommy and Ian!

How much do you think our Ian will weigh? Post your answer on the comments and I will post them on the side! The winner gets, well the knowledge of knowing they won! :)

L&D again...

So today I woke up and began to get ready for church, well before I did too much I took my blood pressure. Yes you guest it, it was high. So I figured it was just because of having moved around and stuff, so I sat on the couch for about ten minutes and took it again. Once again it was still high, I took it two more times and still high! So we called the nurse line at Mercy Birth Place and thankfully I talked to a nurse that new me from coming up there twice a week. She told me to lay down for an hour and take it again and if it hasn't gone down to call back. So for several hours the bp would go up and then go down. Which since I was just laying down was very frustrating. Then the headache came on. So we called back up to Labor and Delivery and the nurse told me to come on up so they can run some labs. Justin and I decided that since it is so close to delivery time we should just go ahead and pack up just in case my doctor decided to keep us there. So we headed up around 4ish and they got me all hooked up and had me go in a cup. Well the urine test came back showing protein in it, so then they had to take blood to double check the protein levels (or something like that, by the way high protein means pre-eclampsia). Oh and by the way my bp was fine most of the time at the hospital. They finally got the blood work back and it said I was fine. So they sent me home. Wow that was a long entry just to say I am at home and ok! :)

Last visit!

Well I had my last office visit with my OBGYN today! It was weird to schedule my 6 week follow up visit as opposed to an appointment for next week.

So the good news is that we are still on for delivery next Thursday! And of course if God should so chose to have us go before then it can happen! The bad news is that I have not changed much as far as dilation goes, I am still at a 1, which I have been for two weeks. And while my cervix is low the baby is staying high, which puts me at a greater chance of having to have a C-section. She said we would start the induction and after 4 hours if I haven't changed much then we will do the C-section. I asked her if there was anything I could do to help Ian move down and since I can't go walk around she said no. So we will just have to put this in God's hands and trust that He knows best. Do pray that I can do this with out having to have a C-section though.

Tour of Ian's room

Operation head down...a success!

That's right my friends, our little Ian is head down! We must give praise were praise is due... Praise God!! And he is gaining weight! Two weeks ago he was a little over 4 pounds and now he is 5 pounds 15 ounces! She said that he would be around 6 pounds by next weeks delivery! Holy Cow! Next week we deliver our baby!!!!!!!

Free at last, Free at last, Thank God almighty I'm Free at last

Ok, maybe not but tonight we did ventured out to Babies R' Us! It was so nice to get out and walk around the store, even if I did sit down about 5-6 times while we were there. Thankfully they do have benches and chairs set up through out the store, so it was easy to find a seat and any time I started to get frustrated Justin made sure I sat down for a few minutes. All in all it was a success!

Tomorrow we are going to go to OSU/OKC to have our car seat checked to make sure we have it properly installed (which we just installed it tonight). Plus, they have free Braums ice cream!! Whoo Hoo. And we are going to go out to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe, which I have wanted for several weeks now because a friend of ours had a baby shower there but I ended up not being able to go because of going into Labor and Delivery for 8 hours. Anyways, ever since then we have wanted to go eat there! As for the rest of the day though I will be taking it easy. Which is hard, because now that we have the mattress for the crib I want to put it all together, but it will have to wait I suppose.

Justin and I have decided to bottle the water that is at our church and sell it to people trying to get pregnant! I say this jokingly because there are now 9 couples in our Sunday School class that are expecting! It just seems like at least once a month a new couple will announce that they are pregnant. It is so exciting, and one couple is adopting (he is seriously the cutest little boy and I can't wait for them to be able to bring him home), so our class will soon be filled with so many little ones!

This weeks update...

I had a great appointment today! The doctor said that I could go to Babies R Us!!!! She said that since my blood pressures have been so good that it was fine that I go as long as that is the only thing I do that day. Which of course I am ok with! Oh I can't wait to go!!!

I am going to go back next week for another ultra sound. Since the baby was head up last week she wants to do one more before the induction date. Please pray that he will flip to be head down. If he is not head down by next Wednesday we will change the induction to a C-section. Which isn't the end of the world, I just would rather not have a C-section. She also wanted to check his weight again, since he hadn't grown too much since the ultra sound before last. I have to do another 24 hour urine test because my protein level was a little high today. So that was a bummer, I thought I would be able to get out of doing any more of those for the rest of the pregnancy! (which by the way is only 2 weeks away!!!)

Shower

We had a baby shower this weekend! It was so fun to be able to see so many of my friends that I haven't seen in a while. We got lots of great gifts! Well technically Ian got the gifts, he just doesn't know it yet. :)

We also bought a camcorder this weekend! That was fun. I can't wait to start filming our little Ian!!!

Here are some pictures from the shower, enjoy!
