crazy kid...

I have decided to add acrobat to Ian's list of future occupations. You see he already is to be a drummer, a treasure hunter, an architect and I am sure engineer is on there too. ;)

On to the new addition of acrobat. Today I was babysitting for a friend of mine. Well Ian was in for an adventure! When I spoke with her on the phone she had said that Ian would have a place to sleep for his naps. However, what I wasn't thinking about was the fact that her daughter is only 5 months old and the crib and pack n' play are still on the high levels since she can't crawl out.

Ok, moving on. Ian was not taking a nap this afternoon and since I couldn't put him down anywhere to sleep I tried to get him to sleep with me on the couch. Finally he fell a sleep. But of course about 10 minutes later little baby B started crying (she was down for a nap). I gently rolled Ian onto the couch and picked up little B. By that time Ian was up again. I decided at that time to go ahead and lay him down in the crib since he was fast asleep only minutes before. Um, yeah that was a mistake! He cried for about 5 minutes then I heard nothing. I thought I would go in and check on him. I saw his blankie in the hall way and thought to myself "did I drop it?". I slowly walked up to pick it up and guess who is standing on the other side of the wall? IAN! He had crawled or climbed or fell out of the crib, did not cry about it mind you, and then was on his way to explore the guest room! Oh my how that kid can get into trouble.

I honestly should have given him a spanking on the hand, but he just looked up at me with a big smile that I kind of forgot he should have been in trouble. Plus I was really thankful he wasn't hurt. Praise God for that!

I sure love my crazy kid!

Wish I could do that...

You must go and take a look at this giveaway at Blessed Beyond Imagination! It is such a cute apron.

I am in the process of making my own apron, but I know it is not going to be any where near that cute. But perhaps some day!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Some random thoughts...

Are you on Facebook? I am and I tell you what, it is such a distraction for me! I am constantly thinking of things to write on my status update even when I am not around a computer, I think that pretty much sums up my addiction right there.

With that said, I have come up with some status updates that I ended up not putting on Facebook. So I decided to share a few with you today! I know you are jumping for joy and so excited about this ;)

1. I am pretty sure I have done more in my almost 29 years of living, then Obama has done in the last year to deserve the Nobel Peace Prize.

2. Ian was saved by his angel yesterday. He was playing in his wagon and fell out of it. The wagon was really close to the fire place and if he would have moved his head the slightest amount he would have hit his head on the mantel. Needless to say, it freaked me out! Ian wasn't phased by it though and I think I scared him more than the fall did. Oh the ways of a mom!

3. I am pretty sure I am sick of the Disney Channel re-runs in the mornings. I know that I don't know how to make a show and what all goes into it, but please I beg of you, Disney, make new shows!!!!

4. I have the best husband in the world! Seriously, I don't think husbands in general get enough credit. I mean really they have to deal with us emotional ladies. I don't know how Justin does it because when I am pregnant I am 5 times more emotional. He knows exactly how to calm me down and he doesn't freak out in the process. He takes such good care of me too. I am pretty sure we would have had to buy new dishes if it weren't for him cleaning the kitchen so much over the past few weeks. I just haven't felt good and he just did it, I didn't even have to ask him!

5. I am pretty sure that naming a child is quite possibly one of the hardest decisions you have to make in your life. Seriously, they have to live with that name until at least the age of 18, when I guess at that point they can legally change it. Oh the stress I deal with right? :)

Well I hope that you enjoyed my Facebook status updates that never made it to Facebook :)

So true...

I got this off of my friends blog. I agree with every single one of them!

1. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to take a nap when I was younger.

2. There is a great need for a sarcasm font.

3. How are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

4. Was learning cursive really necessary?

5. Map quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I am pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

6. Can we just all agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to start all over again.

7. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least a little tired.

8. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any to my 10 page report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

9. I hate it when I miss a call right at the last ring, but when I immediately call back, it rings 9 times and goes to voicemail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run?

10. Don't you hate it when you leave the house having a good hair day and you don't run into anyone? What a waste.

kisses and tantrums...

I love kisses from Ian. I love them even more when he gives them freely. Today he was playing in his room and he started giving kisses to his toys! It was so adorably cute.

10 minutes later the cuteness was gone and he began to throw tantrums. Ugh. It is so hard to deal with a kid throwing tantrums. I pretty much just ignore him when he does that. I guess that is the right thing to do right now. Pretty soon though we will begin to spank him for out right disobedience.

How do you handle tantrums?

Lemon drops...

Man what a weekend! I really wanted to post something this weekend but Ian was sick with a fever between 99 and 103.8! Thankfully this morning his fever was just low at about 99.2 after some Tylenol and rest he is great! He actually ate lunch today, which he didn't do all weekend. :(

Now on to the real reason I wanted to post.

As you know by now I have been pretty sick with this pregnancy. So while at Motherhood Maternity I bought some Preggie Pops. I bought the big package because the flavors were better. Now I am not much of a lemon person. In fact I usually don't eat lemon flavored candy, but since it was the last flavor to try and I was nearly out I decided to give the lemon Preggie Pop a try.

It was like I was taken back to being a kid. You see my Pawpaw always kept a jar of lemon drops on his dresser. I am not sure why he didn't have them in the kitchen or living room, perhaps he knew he would eat them all ;) Now I am loving the lemon flavored preggie pop because it reminds me of the lemon drops on my Pawpaw's dresser.

I sure wish him and my Mamaw were around to meet Justin, Ian and baby dos. Oh well, I will see them again in heaven some day!

Better get my post done...

Well nothing starts a new year off right like throwing up first thing. :) I swear I have thrown up more in the past 10 weeks then in my entire life! Wait did you read that right, 10 weeks!!! Our baby has little fingers and toes that can clearly be seen!

We should be finding out what we are having on February 23rd. I absolutely can't wait!!!

Today Nana and Pawpaw came and got Ian and let Justin and I rest. Neither of us felt good, so poor Ian was stuck in his "play area" aka a gated area in the living room. Evidently they were at Best Buy when Ian spotted a women who looked like me from the back and he walked over (like 3 steps) to her and said momma! I thought that was so funny. He barely calls me momma to my face, so I thought it was kind of sweet that he would do that, even though it was to a complete stranger.

Well that is it. I thought I better get in my first post of the new year on the first day of the new year. There is only one hour till January 2nd, so there you go, I think I am up way too late! Good night all and happy New Year!
