Cookie decorating, my new hobby!

Did you know if you look up the definition of hobby it says: a small Old World falcon (Falco subbuteo) that is dark blue above and white below with dark streaking on the breast.

Well that is not the kind of hobby I am talking about! I am having so much fun learning to decorate cookies. It is easier than I thought, not that I am good, but the actual making the icing and cookies is easier than I thought it would be. The decorating is something I will have to learn to do over time, but it is still fun! Here are a few pictures of my first two attempts at making cookies. The cookies turned out fine, but the icing was a little runny. I am not sure what I did different but the second batch of icing turned out much better!

The first two pictures are from the first batch, the second two pictures are from the second batch. I have more to decorate still (it makes a lot of cookies!), so I will post pictures once I am done.

Those are cute! I like how you made Ian and Justin in the second batch. The glasses gave the Justin cookie away. hee! Just kidding.

Those star cookies are what my first cookies looked like in my head! And not the stupid looking start blobs they turned out to be.
